Why Beware, why Scam?

SCIFF continued to collect fees from filmmakers and festival goers for 2 months after they had canceled the event.

No where on their website did it mention anything about the event being canceled due to lack of interest.

The ticket sell page remained up and running.
The film submission page remained up and running.
The site continued to advertise the event date.

I don't know about you, but I consider this a scam.

The law offices of Snell & Wilmer have notified me that if I don't remove the "Beware - Scam" and return the domain names back to SCIFF that I will be sued.

As soon as SCIFF pays me the $1784 I am owed, I will return the domains back to them.

....and not a second sooner
